Been playing with the trip computer on the rental 2wd 2.7 eb f150. Yesterday’s total driving 5 hours 50 minutes, 226 miles averaged 22.1 mpg. I’m impressed this was a mixture of highway/suburban/city milage. Just drove like a normal person even had to unleash full boost for passing a hand full of times. I think if I tried could do better by a few mpgs. Also was very excited to drive it the 1st day a few days back and basically beat on it for 200 miles that day averaged 16.9 mpg.

Not bad at all considering my old 2.7 Charger averaged 18 MPG similar driving habits/conditions!

Agreed. This is a whole lot of vehicle. To be fare it was being underutilized. Only had about 3-500 lbs of stuff in it at any given time. But would likely be close to simulating 4 passengers so guess it was pretty good. My father’s Dodge averages about 14 but he has a rack and keeps it loaded with tools.

The company i work for has a few 2.7 EB f150's that do better! They impress me considering my 2.5 WRX doesnt do better

Hmm my only concern would be for how long will the MPGs be consistent since its not an NA engine? Is that even a worry in this day and age? Also when its near max loaded how low do the MPGs drop.

Far as longevity your guess is as good as mine. I would guess you would get no better than half the gas milage at max load. Once your up into heavy boost it likely tanks.

Reset the trip thing before I did a 50 mile out and back at 75 mph yesterday and saw 23 mpg for the duration. That included getting off the highway for about 4 miles to pick up a part from a vendor. I think 65-70 would be in the 24/25 range but to slow for me.

Fine, I’ll be that guy and comment on your terrible parking job. It’s an F-150, not a BMW.

I’ve got a 2011 with the 3.5 and I’ve managed 21 mpg’s on a tank of pure highway driving a couple times. Overall is closer to 15 for me, but because of where I live in relation to work and everywhere I need to drive to I get terrible mileage. As soon as I cover ground it goes way up.

Twin turbos park where they want to! Honestly think if I owned this and grew more used to its drivetrain it would just hover between 18-22. Really not a truck guy and thought that wasn’t the greatest but started talking to neighbors and family and they all said 13-16 for the various models they own. So better milage and tons of power seems like a win win.
